Rascal Flatts is the most awarded vocal group in country music today with over 40 trophies from the American Country Awards, American Music Awards, Academy of Country Music Awards, Country Music Association Awards, People's Choice and more. They have placed 14 singles at #1, sold over 21 million albums and 25 million digital downloads since releasing their first album in 2000. The band is one of the hottest acts on tour in any genre, selling well over six million concerts tickets, and counting. They are currently on their Farmers Insurance Presents "Changed Tour" with Little Big Town, and Big Machine Label Group labelmates Eli Young Band and Edens Edge opening through the fall.
UPDATE: After doing a little digging, it seems the boys have been planning this for a while. Back in 2010, it was announced that the trio would be receiving their star in 2011. No word on what the hold up was.
